The Australia Experience
Your Down Under Era
Australia is a continent of contrasts—where the world's oldest living culture coexists with one of its most beautiful harbour cities, where ancient rainforest meets the planet's largest coral reef, and where every sunset seems more spectacular than the last. This eight-day journey takes you from Sydney's harbour and the UNESCO-listed Blue Mountains to Cairns, the outer reef at Agincourt, and the rainforest of Kuranda.

Day 01DinnerWelcome to Sydney
A driver meets you at Sydney (SYD) with a sign and takes you to the Four Seasons, where the harbour, the Opera House and the Bridge are all outside the window. The first evening is Sydney rolling out the carpet: designer boutiques from Zimmermann to Chanel, high tea, a spa if you want one, cocktails with a harbour view. It bends to whatever you feel like. Dinner at a local restaurant closes it out.

- Check in at Four Seasons Sydney (4 nights)
- Sydney luxe and leisure evening

The city on foot with a guide who knows every corner of it. A harbour lookout first to get your bearings, then The Rocks, where the settlement began. Macquarie Street and its colonial architecture down to Hyde Park and the Cathedral. The Queen Victoria Building and the Strand Arcade for Victorian grandeur, and the hidden art installation at Angel Place that almost everyone walks past. Lunch, then Mrs Macquarie's Chair for the view, the Royal Botanic Gardens, and the Opera House itself, walked slowly and properly. Later, the ferry from Circular Quay to Manly and a beach that stretches a kilometer and a half under Norfolk pines.

At twenty past four a car collects you for the dinner cruise: a multi-course dinner with wine while the skyline goes past, and enough time on deck between courses to watch the light change over the Opera House and the Bridge.
- Free day in Sydney
- Optional private yacht charter
- Luxury dinner cruise on Sydney Harbour
Day 04BreakfastBlue Mountains and the Koalas
A full day west into the UNESCO-listed Blue Mountains with a private guide. Featherdale Wildlife Park first, where you hand-feed kangaroos that hop loose around you, watch the wombats and the emus, and can add a koala encounter with a keepsake photo if you want one. Then Echo Point and the Three Sisters, and the Dreamtime story behind them, over the Jamison Valley. The railway, skyway, cableway and clifftop walkway are all included. Lunch with wine at a mountain resort, taken slowly, with the valley in front of you - lunch is at your own cost.

Snorkel gear, stinger suits, instruction, buoyancy vests and lifeguards are all provided; if you would rather stay dry there is the underwater observatory and the semi-submersible coral tour. A marine biologist gives the reef talk, the crew feed the fish, and a hot and cold tropical buffet lunch runs in the middle of it. Back by a quarter past five.
